It is easy to use and small enough to go in a pocket. She travels to other countries a lot and also has amazing pictures. I have had this camera for a little more than a year. My niece got one after me and she loves hers. Highly recommend to anyone wanting easy. I took it to Disney World and got some amazing pictures. I am no pro but some of them would make great postcards.
There's in-camera editing, including cropping, retouching and other functions. I don't make many purchases without doing my homework.and this one stood out. Many pro-style features in a camera priced at an intermediate level.
Even with all these features.you can still set it on Auto.and your Mom, who's VCR is STILL flashing 12:00, can use it and take great shots.Giant lcd screen makes previews easy to see, even in less than stellar situations. Check the ratings on www.alatest.com where 24 pros and almost 700 typical end-users scored it a 90%, excellent, rating. I love this camera.and after seeing the results and the rich feature set.three of my friends have already purchased their own.
This camera is positively awesome. Create 3-panel wide panoramic shots in-camera, "frame" and add text or make a calendar out of each photo.and you can add 4 seconds of sound to each shot. Highly recommended.
7x optical zoom (vs, typical 3 or 5 from most cameras), two types of image stabilization, and, you can preview, on-screen, 4 different exposure settings for the same shot, and pick the one you like before shooting. There are more preset exposure settings than most people typically use.
Really like the small size of it and the zoom capabilities. All of my pictures were taken during day time. I had a little trouble with pictures in low light, but I didn;t really play with the features, so its probably just me. I took this camera on vacation to Costa Rica, zoom worked great. well worth it. This one was great becasue I was able to put it in my pocket and go. It was my backup camera to my 20x zoom. I've blown up a couple pictures to 8x10 portraits and they look really good.
I previously had an Olympus which took beautiful pictures. I've had this camera for about 7 months now. I believe I got buyer protection on this camera, and I will be taking it back. Now, after reading the other reviews, I've realized it's not necessarily my fault that the pictures are coming out so bad. Occasionally, I'll get nice crisp, clear pictures, but most of the time they come out either blurry or grainy. I thought it was me, so I kept trying to change how I take pictures.
The picture quality is grainy. It didn't help at all that after calling Olympus they told me it has a zoom while using video, so I re ordered this one. I read other reviews that concurred.Oh, for a GOOD "waterproof" compact digital camera.I returned it Model Number: Stylus 1010 "I can not believe that I can not use the zoom while video function, when even with my very cheap old camera I could. I would need to get a extra video camera if I want to video my kid. What a waste of my time. I returned it. Overall I'm very disappointed with Olympus, the 3d model I return.
